Marriage & Family Therapist, MA, LMFT - Los Alamitos Office
I work with those who are having difficulty or trouble in relationships or in relating to a difficult person. You will find me easy to talk with as together we find the healing solutions. I will encourage you as I walk beside you to systematically discover the answers that you already have within. I will not force or push but gently challenge you to become your best. This journey of counseling will have a beginning and an end. We will be a team every step of the way. You will find the help you are looking for and actively seeking. Let's get started!
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps us explore our thinking, feelings and the actions we take based on those thoughts and feelings. Emotional Focused Therapy looks at how we interact with people based on a pattern we learned in our family of origin. Knowing ourself better helps us find our answers and allows us to experience true joy.
I also help couples address patterns in their relationship that may not be giving them the connection and contentment they desire. I gently guide each member of the couple to understand how and why they have come to issues that seem impassable. Together we move through the difficulties towards healing and renewal.
I enjoy adventures and travel with my family. This includes visits to National Parks and short get-aways up or down the California coast. I also enjoy the wind in my face when riding my road bike. Keeping active helps me refocus to tackle a new day.
I offer both in-person and teletherapy sessions.

I draw from a breadth and depth of personal and professional experiences, including over 20 years working in large corporations, where I focused on developing team environments for facilitating interpersonal collaboration and growth. In addition to counseling, I continue to provide executive coaching to businesses and life coaching to individuals.

I believe you’re here for a reason, and that God has a purpose for you. Depression, anxiety, marital issues, eating disorders, and many other problems, keep us from living full lives. I became a therapist because I have a passion for helping people who are hurting, and want more out of life. I’ve been married for 17 years, and I know that marriage can take a lot of hard work. It can also be a joy. During couples’ therapy, I focus on building connection while resolving problems. Nobashing allowed. Through my own struggle with depression, I understand what it’s like to feel exhausted and hopeless. Please don’t walk through depression alone, allow me to help carry your burden. Together we will find hope and healing.
